Man Takes Work Break and Returns with a Furry Companion
Not long ago, a stray feline was spotted outside a residential area in the Bronx, New York. The cat appeared scruffy, sticking close to the door in search of warmth.
A compassionate individual noticed the homeless cat and couldn’t bear to see it fend for itself. They contacted Little Wanderers NYC, a nearby animal rescue organization, for assistance. “The cat looked cold and was sitting in front of a house, waiting to be let indoors. We knew he deserved more than that,” the rescue group stated.
Little Wanderers NYC wasted no time and quickly mobilized a volunteer to come to the cat’s aid. Roz sprang into action to help the furry little wanderer.
He was discovered sitting in front of a residence by Little Wanderers NYC. With the assistance of a friend, Roz managed to rescue the cat and offer him temporary shelter. That day marked the end of his days living outdoors as he never once glanced back. The feline, now known as Corrado Jr., was initially timid and cautious in his new surroundings. However, as he became more comfortable, his demeanor transformed significantly.
The feline, who was saved and given the name Corrado Jr. by Little Wanderers NYC, was in a rough state – covered in dirt and looking scruffy. After testing positive for FIV, a common ailment among tomcats that have spent a lot of time living on the streets, Corrado Jr. began to show signs of improvement. With the understanding that he no longer had to struggle for food and a place to rest, he slowly started to open up and show his true self.

After a couple of days of unwinding and settling in, Corrado Jr. released the most adorable little meow, almost like a thank you to his savior for taking him in. He devoured every meal as if it were his last and eagerly accepted a much-needed bath shortly after arriving. Now, he was all clean and ready to mingle with his new surroundings.
He melted into the arms of his foster mom at Little Wanderers NYC. As the former street cat curled up in her embrace for the first time, he turned into mush and felt completely content like he was in paradise. The sweet boy was swaddled in a cozy blanket and held gently like a baby, so comfortable and at ease that he drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
Tiny Explorers in New York City
Corrado Jr. was fortunate to be discovered and saved from the freezing cold. “This winter has been harsh and the rescue calls seem never-ending. We are doing our utmost to respond to all of them,” shared Tiny Explorers NYC.
With a warm shelter and comfort from his caregivers, his defenses began to fade, and he opened up to receive affection. “He let his true self emerge, nudging heads and allowing you to cuddle and nap together.”
Corrado Jr. adores being cuddled and is a little ball of love waiting to be shared. At Little Wanderers NYC, they describe his meow as one of the sweetest and most special in the world. While he gets along just fine with other feline pals, this little guy truly craves a human companion all to himself. Having braved the harsh streets for who knows how long, Corrado Jr. is now making up for lost time by soaking up all the affection and snuggles possible now that he’s safely indoors.
“Tiny Explorers NYC”
This adorable little boy adores nothing more than being cradled and cuddled. He loves nuzzling his face against his loved ones and cherishes every moment of affection he receives. In just a short span of time, Corrado Jr. has transformed into a lovable teddy bear with a gentle personality and so much love to share.
The Little Wanderers NYC organization found Corrado Jr. sitting outside a house, hoping for food and shelter on that fateful day. With the help of the community, he now enjoys the life he always dreamt of and will never have to endure another day on the streets.
